Liquid Bloom is the world-electronic project of Amani Friend, co-founder of Desert Dwellers and curator of the Desert Trax label. The music moves between deep ambient, downtempo grooves and ecstatic dancefloor experiences, inviting audiences into a shared, immersive experience where ancient traditions and modern sound design meet in rhythm, movement and collective resonance.
The project blends sacred chants, world traditions and textured soundscapes with cutting-edge production. Each offering carries the intention of creating spaces of remembrance, movement and awakening, a journey that flows between meditative states and the dancefloor.
Amani Friend has also curated Elemental Soundscapes for Breathwork Facilitators & Guides, an album of long sound beds that resonate with the five elements: water, air, fire, earth and ether. He created the Kuya Sessions series together with Poranguí. Its final album, Kuya Sessions: Sol Remixed, remixes the original Kuya: Sol sessions, weaving terrestrial and celestial sounds with ancient instruments and field recordings.

Worth Knowing
Liquid Bloom is an electronic music project founded by Amani Friend that has cultivated a following of 224,000+ listeners on Spotify by creating deeply intentional soundscapes that blur the line between meditation and dancefloor experience. The project's appeal rests on a rare combination: the production sophistication of contemporary electronic music paired with reverence for world traditions and sacred vocal work—chants, mantras, and ceremonial sounds woven into modern sound design. What distinguishes Liquid Bloom from ambient-music-as-background-texture is the explicit framing around embodied practice: these are soundscapes engineered for breathwork, for movement, for the kind of listening that asks your body to participate. Listeners include meditation practitioners seeking non-Western sonic frameworks, electronic music fans interested in conscious production, and people working in dance medicine, somatic practice, and ceremonial contexts. The work refuses the false binary between "spiritual music" and "electronic music"—instead it asks what happens when both traditions speak at once.
