Music Composer
Pablo Villegas is a music composer, violinist and multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, oud, piano, flutes, mandolin, EWI and bagpipe. He graduated in Music and Psychology from the University of Antioquia in Colombia.
In 1998 he began studying, on his own, world folklore that involved the violin. In 2001 he founded the group La Montaña Gris, which makes mythological and fantasy music based on ancient folk traditions such as Celtic and Viking. The group has taken part in the main Celtic music festivals in Latin America. It has made five albums, three international tours, a one-year journey through South America in 2013, and a symphonic production in 2015 that travelled to Mexico. His career includes more than 700 concerts, nationally and internationally.
Alongside his work with La Montaña Gris, Pablo teaches violin privately, composes music for cinema and audiovisual projects, and has taught music appreciation at the Lasallian University and EAFIT University.
